Attacus atlas
This morning, a neighbour spotted this Atlas Moth larva on the trunk of a tree in his front yard. He knew that I would like to take some pictures, but when he tried to contact me, I was already out on a bug hunt and did not have my phone with me. So, he very kindly took some photos and gave them to my wife, with his permission for me to publish them on Project Noah.
This Atlas Moth larva was spotted climbing up the trunk of a Wild Mangosteen (Sandoricum koetjape) called Santor in most Philippine dialects, but known as Catol in thel dialect where I live. Plant information from - http://www.stuartxchange.org/Santol.html........
