White to cream polypore with hints of blue bruising. Upper surface is smooth, soft, and slightly gelatinous (like a gummy bear texture). This surface is also slightly hirsute (hairy). Fertile surface is white to cream and porous. This is a young, fresh specimen and has not fully matured. Mature specimens darken to blue-gray and are tougher in texture. Postia caesia is an annual bracket fungus that is saprobic on pine wood.
Growing on a pine branch in a dense mixed hardwood/coniferous forest in Northwest Georgia (Gordon County), US.
