Lizard

Description:

Limb-ed lizard, out in the hot sun. the colour looks greenish but that could be glare from the Sun. Body is covered with raised, rounded protuberances.

Habitat:

One of the rock-cut structures that dot Cappadocia. I think I was the only one that saw the lizard. tried to go around and get a shot of the tail but a big boulder obstructed my move. The third photo is the cropped version of the second which has not been touched.

Notes:

May be Laudakia stellio, a species of agamid lizard also known as the starred agama or the roughtail rock agama. Found in Turkey.
