Green Tortoise Beetle

Cassida circumdata

Description:

This leaf beetle is very small, 5 mm in lenght, but is easy to spot when you walk around. It lights up like a jewel in the sun. The shiny metallic green body makes it difficult to get a sharp photo of the pattern on the wings. It has 3 irregular longitudinal black band on the wings. The middle black band on inner margin of wing shares with opposite wing.

Habitat:

Beside the house.
