Description:

The White-faced ibis is a wading bird that prefers marshes with dense vegetation. Breeding adults have a red eye that has a white border. They have a shimmering purple, green, and bronze plumage, a curved grey bill, and pink legs.

Habitat:

Spotted in a wetland at the Lacassine NWR in southern Louisiana.
