Zigadenus venenosus
Cluster of cream flowers with yellow centers on erect stem. Long, linear basal leaves.
Blooms in wet meadows and hillsides. Sighting in a flat meadow at low elevation next to Columbia River. Catherine Creek Natural Area, Washington.
Poisonous plant. It is not closely related to, nor (in bloom) does it resemble, the common camas (Camassia quamash) whose bulbs were a staple food for native American tribes along the Columbia.
