Eurasian Tree Sparrow

Passer montanus

Description:

It's time for a spotting of the most common bird here in the area with rice fields all around. Introduced to the Philippines long time ago. Rice is the favorite snack and that is why the bird got the rather unflattering nickname, “winged rat.” The subspecies here has only small differences, for example size of the beak or darker color, from the species we have on the other side of the Earth in Norway https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/10...

Habitat:

Behind the house in a Lead tree https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/16....
