Collared Tree Runner

Plica plica

Description:

Active during the day, and arboreal, living most of its life adhered to the sides of tree trunks. It comes down from the trees only to lay eggs, which it places inside rotting palm trees and in palm litter.

Habitat:

seen in rainforest at 500m

Notes:

I saw this species at Brownsberg nature park. It pretty much lived on the trunk of one particular tree. Any time I walked past the tree, I could find him on it.
