Common Snapping Turtle

Description:

Large reptile with a strong snapping bite. Females tend to be larger than Males.

Habitat:

Masrhlands, ponds, creeks, rivers, waterways etc.

Notes:

This one was covered in algea. It was an unusually warm October day and we seen it basking in the sun.
