Stingless Bee

Tetragonula sp.

Description:

Tetragonula is a genus of stingless bees, found from India through Malaysia, Indonesia to Papa New Guinea and Australia. I believe this is one of the two endemic species of Sri Lanka, most likely Tetragonula praeterita, however I haven't measured their size so I cannot say for sure. https://uk.inaturalist.org/taxa/928248-T...

Habitat:

Urban, close to mixed tropical forest.
