Bowl and Doily Weaver

Frontinella pyramitela

Description:

Dark brown and white spider. When viewed from the side it has vertical stripes on the abdomen. Clear legs and dark brown head.

Habitat:

On the low hanging branch of an oak tree on a sandy horse trail at Bearhead Hammock Recreational Area. This area was dominated by oak trees and pines.

Notes:

Frontinella communis (http://bugguide.net/node/view/2043) and Neriene radiata (http://bugguide.net/node/view/33337) both look very similar except for their markings. I came to the ID because I think it is the best match for the markings on these.
