In this case I simply have overseen the second one. I agree, it is Morpho helenor peleides. Sorry, for the mess...
The second one btw is Smyrna blomfildia, Blomfilds Bark Wing.
At least I got an extra bonus ;-)... and congrats to SOTD!

Thank you so much bayucca.
I did have the second picture when I first placed the spotting. I have been placing a fruit table in my garden and to my surprise I have had 2 sightings of Morphos, (and lots of other Butterflies), before that, they only flew way up on top of the garden and the trees and never stop.

Thank you, LaurenZarate.

k.andrews6, I love them so much also, I have a lot of Butterflies in PN. Of course as you know here in Costa Rica there is a large percentage of the worlds Butterflies, but I can not ID them either.. : (

Gilma, did you had the open wing shot before or posted later? Was it in a butterfly house? If yes, it might be Morpho helenor peleides (not M. peleides) and I obviously missed the second picture or did not noticed that. Anyway, with Morpho helenor you would be on the safe side.

That is an absolutely gorgeous spot. I love butterflies. I just wish I could ID them a little better. I'm improving though.
