Animals of Baltimore's Urban Agriculture Landscape

Animals of Baltimore's Urban Agriculture Landscape

Take photographs of animals in (and in the immediate vicinity of) urban agriculture projects of all sizes in Baltimore, Maryland (please only upload photographs taken, to the best of your knowledge, within the city limits). Please include the specific location of the photograph, the date and time it was taken, and only if known, a taxonomic ID of the species photographed. No plants or fungi, please. And while humans are animals, please keep the focus on non-human animals—our species already has enough social networking sites! Other than that, no rules. Just enjoy yourself and have a great time as we document the diversity of animals that call our urban agriculture projects home. Sign in to join mission

This mission's goal is to document the diversity of animal life that inhabits urban agriculture projects in Baltimore, Maryland. The city is alive with projects ranging from private backyard gardens to community gardens and even urban farms spanning multiple lots, such as the Baltimore Free Farm in Hampden. And the movement is growing: new ag projects are springing up in the city all the time. This mission's scope includes birds, mammals (domestic and wild), insects and other invertebrates, and fish. Plants themselves (crops or weeds) and fungi are not the focus of this mission, although I may create a separate mission later to document those.
