Southern Brown Tree Frog

Description:

This frog is an agile climber and jumper and greedy for insects, capable of leaping to catch them in mid-flight. Adults can be found in most habitats, including some suburban gardens. During breeding season, they can be found gathering in large numbers at farm dams, ponds, creeks and waterholes. Named after the naturalist, T. Ewing. Grows up to 4.5cm

Habitat:

A widespread and common species found in great numbers in flooded grasslands or marshes.
