These nocturnal, fair-skinned geckos are now common world-wide because human travel has spread them to all continents except Antarctica. Some have spots, some do not. Very prolific, invasive species - had hundreds of them in my garage in Denton, TX at one time - then they ate themselves out of business.... they ate all the tiny bugs they could find, then eventually died off because there was nothing left to eat. Cute little creatures.
