Lupinus texensis (Fabaceae)
Bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas. For a few weeks every spring, a favorite past time in Texas is the search for the perfect bluebonnet patch. They are fragrant, beautiful, and plentiful and Texans love to take pictures in patches of them.
Texas highways and fields are the most popular sightings for these wildflowers.
