large, attractive weevil,about 20mm long, with dark longitudinal stripes along the wing cases, each bearing a line of brown spots with a paler circumference

Habitat:

open scrub in the Kalahari desert, sandy.

Notes:

This individual was living up to its name and happily munching on an emerging Crinum lily shoot
