One of my first spottings from Alas Purwo national park. I spotted these flowers just as I started a trail. I thought they might be orchids, but wasn't 100% sure at the time. As I was photographing them, some high up officials of the Indonesian park system walked past. I asked one of them about the plant. Could it be an orchid? He firmly said no, but I didn't believe him. I asked why he thought it couldn't be an orchid and he didn't really have an answer. I guess he never studied Horticulture or Botany.

Thanks Scott. I hear you, I've struggled as well. I brightened the first shot up a little bit in post, because I didn't even use a tripod for these shots. Thankfully, this wasn't in deep shade, so I had some natural light to work with.
Pretty nice macro of a really cool little orchid. I always struggle to get even halfway sharp, decently exposed shots of tiny things in a low light forest.
