Streptopelia decaocto
Medium size dove with a rather monotonous triple coo. It is easy to identify and distinguish from the turtle dove by its pale brown coat with a black collar on back of the neck. It spread during the 20th century from southeast Europe to the whole of the continent.
Spotted at an open oak forest. Reserva de la Biosfera del Real Sitio de San Ildefons-El Espinar.
