Description:

Medium size dove with a rather monotonous triple coo. It is easy to identify and distinguish from the turtle dove by its pale brown coat with a black collar on back of the neck. It spread during the 20th century from southeast Europe to the whole of the continent.

Habitat:

Spotted at an open oak forest. Reserva de la Biosfera del Real Sitio de San Ildefons-El Espinar.
