Robin Redbreast

Erithacus rubecula

Description:

Despite the name Red-breast, the bib looks orange to me though.(Male robins flash the colour to settle territorial disputes, especially during the breeding season.) Otherwise a mousy grey.

Habitat:

Garden/backyard in a quiet residential area with lots of shallow drinking/bathing laid out for avian visitors...food too!

Notes:

Wikipedia says, "The physical mechanism of the robin's magnetic sense is not fully understood, but may involve quantum entanglement of electron spins..." I am Gobsmacked.
