Description:

That fungus grows onto (and into) the apple tree in the backyard. The cap is stalk-less. It is generally white with brownish-yellowish pores. It appears as vertical stacks on the tree and branches.

Habitat:

Grow on Maple tree or other deciduous tree.

Could it be a Bjerkandera fumosa, or similar species? Even in North America?
