There are many varieties of croton out there. A cultivar is a plant that has been bred through propagation due to desirable characteristics. No need to apologize, read more here

Dandoucette, I found some variations of the corton to look like my plant, but I can't tell how close it is, I'll try and do a bit more research. What does the "cultivar" at the end mean? (Sorry, I am new to the naming part of this project)
