Description:

Commonly referred to as "basketflowers", the flowers (pseudanthium inflorescences) were pinkish purple. Each pseudanthium was situated on top of a basket-like cluster of scaly bracts, which resembles a basket.

Habitat:

Growing throughout a large meadow.
