House Finch

Haemorhous mexicanus

Description:

Brown bird with cone-shaped bill and brown streaky breast. Smaller than a Cardinal (see attached photo for comparison)

Habitat:

Hardwood trees in front yard

Notes:

Spotted among Cardinals, Chipping Sparrows, Titmouse, Nuthatches, Chickadees, and Ruby-crowned Kinglet. Did not see it visit the feeders.
