Unfortunately I do not know, I usually photograph birds, butterflies and moths, maybe one of those flew and left me with a flower and in those cases curiosity makes me post it. Although cropped that was all of the plant in the original photo, I just cropped the sky out.

Looks like an Aloe sp - did it have toothed succulent leaves?
