The gemsbok (prononce remsbok in afrikaans) is a large oryx antelope. It has straight long horns, light brown coat, with dark stripes on the head and legs.

Habitat:

It is native to arid regions, typically as Karoo sub-desert area. Dry bushveld vegetation.
