I found the pictures of the male; they're a year or so old, but I've added them to complete this spotting.

Thank you, Liam. These are from my sister's aviary; I don't recall seeing the male this trip, but I do have a pick some where.

Liam is right: this is a female or a non-breeding male pin-tailed whydah.

Great pics. The second and third makes me think field sparrow but I'm not sure.
