Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle Pupa

Harmonia axyridis

Description:

Lady beetle pupae generally have an elongated dome shape, and can be found attached to leaves. They are orange with black spots, and the spiky remains of the larval skin can be seen clinging to one end.

Habitat:

Spotted on Lamb's Quarters (Chenopodium album), which was growing next to a pond in a deciduous forest.
