Sarcophaga sp
The flesh-flies are generally medium to big-sized flies and of mainly of greyish color; the typical pattern is lengthwise stripes, whitish-cream with black. Many have conspicuous red compound eyes.
Here, seen on a meadow in local marshland; (protected marshlands or Maraîs de Bidonne), in lowlands around lake Geneva (lac Leman), between Alps and Jura mountain ranges.
These are the very common flies entering houses in search of rotting meat and meat products to lay down their eggs.
