Cave Ensign Wasp

Description:

This Ensign Wasp (Evaniidae) was found inside Madai cave. Black body, short and small abdomen (Metasoma), blue eyes. Body length about 9mm only. I have not found anything on cave ensign wasp yet, maybe this one came into the cave to lay eggs on roach ootheca.

Habitat:

Madai cave park, Kunak, Sabah, Malaysia.

Notes:

I would really love to find out the reasons for this wasp to be in this cave. If this species lives in caves, it will be a great discovery. >>>Map accuracy : 2km diameter.
