The bird is way too large for Sparrowhawk, and note the slanting superlora area, which gives it an "angry" look.

Thanks Xiaoxuan, I'm not 100% sure if it's a Eurasian Sparrowhawk, I think it may be an African Goshawk, but I could be wrong

Wonderful photo! Such a predatory look!! I'd agree with Mary, but isn't this bird in South Africa? I don't think either species is there. (or is the map wrong?) It definitely looks like an accipiter though! Great spotting!

Nice spotting and photo - this looks like it maybe a sharpshinned hawk, or possibly a coopers hawk.
