Bordered Plant Bug

Stenomacra marginella

Description:

Larginid Bugs of about 12mm body length. Base colour is dark grey/brown. The bugs outline is orange, being thickest behind the head and a short line from the apex of the scutellum down; 1st leg segment also has some orange. Not sure which one is the female and which one is the male, as they look virtually identical and were also about the same size.

Habitat:

Found in 'El Cimatario', a national park in semi-arid area just outside the city. The rainy season is now in full swing and many animals are venturing out.
