Description:

Large Noctuid Moth about 3 cm in length with an interesting wing pattern. Family Erebidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light set up along the highway on a cliff between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 18.5, 1164 meters elevation.

Thank you Sukanya, you sure are good with moths! It does look very close to the African Anoba disjuncta. None of the Anoba have the really long palpi that this one has so I don't know what to think yet.

Looks like Anoba of some kind...let me see if I can get an exact match.
