By the process of elimination -- I believe there are only 2 Calotes sp. in that part of Malaysia (--it is not Calotes emma), and by what appears to be "Two small groups of spines, perfectly separated from each other, above each tympanum." barely visible on the left side (description from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oriental_ga... ), I think this is the Changeable lizard/Oriental garden lizard.
Looks like genus Calotes, nearly impossible to tell which species if this is the only photo you have?
