This particular swallow picked a bad time to try to scratch - a large gust of wind practically pushed the swallow right off the perch.

Found at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY.

Very nice photo. Tree swallows and swallow sp. are really tough to photograph. It looks as though your patience prevailed and you got a great shot.
