Mountain Bluebird

Sialia currucoides

Description:

beautiful blue

Habitat:

Lives in the trees at the edge of a meadow. The meadow is where it gets it's food.

Notes:

I volunteer with the Jefferson County Open Space Park program. I was assigned bird boxes at Meyer Ranch Park. I had to keep records of what birds were nesting in the boxes, how many eggs, how many chicks, and lots of other stuff. The main birds I had were Mountain Bluebirds, Tree Swallows, and House Wrens. Other than those birds, I really have no clue about birds.
