Green lynx spider

Peucetia viridans

Description:

Large spider that has been living on a zinnia in my garden, previously looking round and fat, but now slender and guarding an egg sac. The last picture is another spider of the same kind eating a skipper. Update: Both mama spiders protected their egg sacs which eventually hatched with lots and lots of babies who lived happily ever after.
