Northern Highbush Blueberry

Vaccinium corymbosum

Description:

A deciduous shrub that grows 6–12 feet tall. The dark glossy leaves are elliptical; the flowers are white, long, and bell-shaped; and the fruit is a small blue-black berry that will ripen during July-August in the northeastern US. It is a significantly important food crop.

Habitat:

I found this bush growing wild in a swampy, mixed forest.
