These cryptic small birds (approx. 15cm tall) fly at night and are not often seen. The birds in picture are adults, coxed into coming out by mimicking the sound of a lace monitor climbing the dead stag their roosting in.

I love nightjars my favourite is owls and both together look so cute.....
