Cryptothelea fuscescens
This is the log-cabin-like case of the New Guinea case moth / bagworm moth Cryptothelea fuscescens.
Spotted on a leaf of Bougainvillea sp. in a large semi-urban yard & garden adjacent to a disturbed remnant patch of forest.
This species appears to favor Bougainvillea sp. as a host plant for anchoring, at least in this vicinity. This was my third spotting from this location, and this case was much smaller, and attached to a leaf instead of a woody branch as in the previous two spottings which can be seen here http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/704... and here http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/749...
