Uff, at least the Geometridae was correct, however, lloking at the structure of the underwing, I should have considered that it might be a Larentiinae. I check my moth world ;-)... Wonderful spotting btw!
I wouldn't understand my moth world if this would not be a Geometridae. Checked different genus of Ennominae, but could not find a real reasonable candidate. Immediate ID guess was Iridopsis (but not defectaria) but I have some doubt about this. Take Ennominae for going closer.

Alice, it was hanging out in one of my planters & I disturbed it when I was watering - I may not have noticed it if I hadn't seen it flying!
