Eleale pulcher
This dark glimmering clerid beetle had a slightly backward pointing yellow band on each eytron and a white marking at the each elytral tip and on the midline between the wing bases. Legs were dark and hind femurs had a white patch. Abdominal segments showed white bands.
Antennae were dark ending in yellow tips.
Spotted on Leptospermum in a park.
Some confusion about the species - could be E.lepida.
Last three photos were taken ( 25 Nov) in another reserve near the fist spotting location.
Family: Cleridae
Subfamily: Clerinae
