Forida Blue Centipede

Scolopendra viridis

Large centipede. 3 inches long, pale orange body with a grey stripe down the middle.

Found at a barn in central Florida.

I find it interesting that this animal carries the common name "Florida BLUE" when "viridis" translates to "green." Weird. :-)
