Western warbling vireo

Vireo gilvus swainsoni

Description:

A small songbird with a slow deliberate foraging style. Brownish upperparts that lack wingbars. A faint brownish line thru the eye and a pale line above the eye. Lowerparts are a pale yellow, which blend in nicely to tree limbs of deciduous trees.

Habitat:

Spotted in a deciduous tree along the Columbia river at the Rocky Coulee Recreation Area.
