Cottonwood leaf beetle

Chrysomela scripta

Description:

In my attempt to get a clear shot at this pair of Cottonwood leaf beetles mating, I must shaken the leaf slightly & the poor male fell off! The female apparently lost interest & walked off. Luckily there was plenty more love bug action happening so I was able to snap another couple!

Habitat:

Edgar Evins, Tennessee
