Jack Sparrow?? Are you kidding?? ;-)...
It's even for me never too late to learn! Good observation! Take this link an look at the first and last one, there you see some remnants of some white stripe. Compare the other ones, you see some with band going to the margin and some with a small darker part between end of band and margin. In yours there is also some darker parts and your white stripe. However, in worn examples these margins are quite abraded so these criterias are no more visible:

Bayucca, I don't want to teach the master, but did you notice the small white dots bellow the orange bands in my spot? It doesn't appear in any of the pictures of the links.

I also thought about this one, but it is not Stichelia but Pirascca sp. That's the reason why I told you I will do some research about this one. But both Pirascca sagaris (formerly Stichelia) and Pirascca tyriotes have a much broader orange/yellowish band than yours and no tiny white stripe at the margin (which might not be visible anymore in older or worn specimens).

I am not confident with any of the two...??

Yes, too old specimens.

Bayucca, couldn't it be S. Sagaris? Its color match, and it is found around here.

In the pictures of the link it is not possible to see those very small white spots on the tip of the fore wings, but maybe it is because the specimens are very degraded?

Not easy at all, that's the most tricky one!!

Riodinidae/Metalmark. If you look at the specimen #2 in the link you see the typical pattern of the orange band. Thicker at the upper margin and 2 spikes on the lower margin. Did you remember we had a discussion about the yellow stripe behind the head on Stichelia bocchoris?? Where is it?? In the link I can't see it neither in link #2. OK, I will do some more research and will come back with some more IDeas...
