Brazilian Dutchman's Pipe

Aristolochia gigantea

Habitat:

Native to Brazil. Grown in gardens, parks, etc. as ornamental vine.

Notes:

Very bizarre, alien looking flowers. This one is growing at a park's butterfly garden. Though Pipevine Swallowtail butterflies may mistakenly lay eggs on it where the caterpillars will not survive, the "Florida" Polydamas Swallowtail caterpillars do just fine on it.
