Leaf Footed Bug

Description:

A Leaf Footed Bug in the Family Coreidae with an especially formidable set of spines on the hind femora. About 2.5 cm in length. May be a species of the genus Acanthocephala.

Habitat:

Found in a garden in the center of San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.
