Description:

Sand-divers dart into the substrate when protecting itself from danger. They feed on zooplankton.

Notes:

This long fish burrows into the sand when threatened. Spotted it at a depth of about 15m.

Thanks for the ID, Nigel! Yes, I was really lucky to have been able to get so close to it that time. Usually when I get close, they dive right into the sand. But this one, it seemed almost audacious! :D

This is not a Goby this is a sand diver, very difficult to get close to because they dive into the sand when approached.
Did well to get such a beautiful photo
