Small black weevil with a brown pattern of scales on the elytra. The legs and proboscis are banded (also due to white scales on black). About 3 mm in length. The proboscis is long, directed backwards under the body and is kept in a groove between the first and second coxae when frightened. Family Curculionidae, Subfamily Cryptorhynchinae.
